Jill, I like that analogy "Being with people like me is like eating chocolate cheesecake: it's intensely delicious for a time, but after a bit, I need to push the plate away."

I don't think that being married to an INTJ has necesarily caused me to be more introverted. However, it's allowed me realize and plan for it. Until a few years ago a great deal of my time was spent with extroverts. I enjoy being around extroverts. I'm always much more adventurerous when I'm with them and have great experiences, but it's very important to realize that I would truely need to time away by myself.

Right now I have few if any extroverts in my life, except for co-workers and I miss them. I find it impossible to create a social circle that envolves my husband. I need a social group, while he really has no interest in it.
