The leaders of Austin's 2005 Freescale Marathon approaching Mile 6.
I went to view this because one of my regular customers was running it as her first marathon; she was a little further back in the pack then this. I'm so glad I did. She had trained long and hard, and really appreciated the support. Plus, it was a very inspirational atmosphere.Friday, June 17

Hi Lora,
Just found your site through Michele. As a fellow Austinite, I look forward to reading your posts!
How kind you were to support a customer. There is a marathon that passes my home every year - I love the sound of friends and family cheering on the runners.
As a runner I know that the encouragement does indeed help.
I've done a bit of running myself, only 5k. So it felt really good to be cheering others along because it meant a lot to me. I plan to volunteer with it for next year.
