Personality Meme

I love personality tests and anything to do with personality theory. I also am known to enjoy a good meme every now and then. This meme was obviously developed with me in mind. When I saw it on Verbatim I knew that resistance was futile.

The following instructions come from Richard Chapelle's blogger research project. My results follow. I'm not going to tag anybody and make you feel obligated. Instead, I invite each and every blogger who reads this to play along.

Overview: This post is a community experiment with two broad purposes. The first is to create publicly accessible data about bloggers' personalities, which may have sociological value in addition to being just plain fun. The second is to track the propagation of this meme through blogspace. Full details and explanation can be found on the original posting: http://pixnaps.blogspot.com/2005/06/meme-worth-spreading.html

Instructions (to join in the experiment):

1) Take the IPIP-NEO personality test and the Political Compass quiz, if you have not done so already.

2) Copy to the clipboard that section of this post that is between the double lines, and paste it into your blog editor. (Blogger users may wish to use 'compose' mode to preserve formatting and hyperlinks. Otherwise, be sure to add hyperlinks as necessary.)

3) Replace the answers in the "survey" section below with your own.

4) Add your blog information to the "track list", in the form: "Linked title - URL - optional GUID".

5) Any additional comments should go outside of the double lines, including the (optional) nomination of bloggers you wish to pass this experimental meme on to.

6) Post it to your blog!

UPDATE: I did actually end of tagging Marla, the meme orginators put out a call for conservitve learning women and I knowing that she leans that way and loves personality stuff as much as I do would have fun with it.

Yes, capybaras wrote that...he's "D" from my blog.

I took your personality test twice - once short form, once long form - b/c I wasn't happy with my answers from the short form. There, I've come clean :)

Well, since we are all coming clean. I also took it twice, both long, and averaged my answers for the post. The first time had me as a little more neurotic and conscientious and a little less agreeable then the second time, but this is a more accurate reflection of me.
