Ready to eat

My first homegrown tomato, ripe and ready to pick.
Small though it may be, we sliced it up and split it between the two us, plain and still warm from the sun. I'm hooked. I'll definitely be planting more than one tomato plant next year. I'm so glad there are more on their way.

O god baby, that is a gorgeous beauty. I am jealous. If you could see my pathetic back yard tomato plants.

Yours are the bomb...Enjoy. Cheers.

That's great! I just came home from the beach to find my own very first little green tomatoes on my container plants. ( "Juliet" and "Patio" ) I can't wait to eat them! I only hope my 3-year-old doesn't consider picking them and throwing them off the balconey before they are ripe. ( This is a very real possiblity, so I'm preparing myself. )

Honestly, I can't think of many things that taste better than a fresh tomato, right off the vine!

That's a beauty. I love tomatoes - my neighbour grows them and lets me pick them. (I may have told you that before - I am prone to repeating myself on the free homegrown tomatoes)

What a great photo!! My mouth is watering... If we get a new digital camera (which is likely) one of the main criteria is a zoom that allows pictures like this, closer than a metre away!
