Hallo!!!

I know I’ve been neglecting my blog lately, but I just received my first “Where are you?” comment. Sorry guys! I’ll skip the excuses and just give you a little update and a promise to write something a little more interesting soon.

First of all the air-conditioning is up and running again. Actually, it’s operating much more efficiently then before. It just needed freon, but our apartment’s maintenance department is not overly experienced in such matters, so it took three days before they called in the professional who had it up fixed within an hour. I’m also quite pleased to announce that the swimming pool is open again.

I’ve just been tired and busy lately, but all is well. I’ve had the chance to spend a little more time with friends and with the in-laws over the past few days. I went to go see “The 40 Year Old Virgin” which was hilarious. I also got to reminisce with a fellow alumnus about good old Geneseo and hang out with people who have New York accents. "There's no place think home. There's no place think home."

I’m also very excited. This news just in: Next month I’ll be taking a camping trip with some of my husband’s extended family in Colorado. I’ve only driven through Colorado before and it will be a wonderful to have a change of scenery and climate. It remains hot in Austin well through October and I still feel jibed by last winter, so the concept of bundling up in sleeping bags and sipping hot cocoa excites me to no end, not to mention the Aspens.

nice to hear from you Lora, but never feel you have to apologise for spending more time with the people in your immediate vicinity :-)

A fellow SUNY grad, I see. I took some classes at Oswego during summers and graduated from Brockport over near Rochester. The grad ceremony was shortened due to a freak snow squall coming off of Lake Ontario. This being early May it was proof we were in the North.

I went to the town of Oswego once and dipped my toes in the Great Lake ;) I think it was Lake Ontario.
