I’m back working during daylight hours again, at least temporarily as the census goes up with my favorite group of kids to work with. I know it isn’t supposed to stay that way for long, so I plan to enjoy it while I can. There is nothing like working a couple weeks of overnights, doing paperwork, and having minimal residential contact to make me truly appreciate the satisfaction I get from the people element of my job.
I also got to sit in on a group therapy session with fully engaged patients and a very talented therapist. It was a wonderful and unfortunately rare thing to see. A lot of work got done today and I am in awe as to how the therapist handled things.
With my pregnancy and all the issues surrounding it I have felt incredibly self-absorbed lately. It was very nice to be drawn out of that mental place and to let the issues of others override my own worries. Of course, with the shift turn around I’ve only gotten out for my walk twice so far this week. Hopefully, my body will feel a little better adjusted and I’ll get back with the program tomorrow.

How exactly do you pronounce the word "currant?" Do you pronounce it like the word "current" or does it sound like "curr-aunt?"
I totally understand. I thought about taking a job with a virtual school, but I'd never meet the students. I just couldn't do it.
Good luck to you!
Interesting question. I pronounce "currant" pretty much the same way I pronouce "current".
It's nice to get pulled out of your shell every now and then. Keep doing what you can with your exercise, don't feel guilty if you miss some times. It's amazing how the body does what it needs with what's given (ie recovery when we don't exercise), actually the body is an amazing machine. Keep smiling...
Pregnancy is a good time to be self-absorbed, and probably your last chance for awhile. I'm glad you're back on days for a bit.
i say current too, but d says "courant" (like the French au courant). go figure...
