So far...

First of all, excuse all the typos and spelling mistakes. I'm tired and on a strange computer and I'm not too sure if I'm going to proofread this.

My travels have gone well, so far, and I have some funny stories to share if I ever get the chance to tell them. I'm far too tired and rushed to do so now. I spent my first night at my sister in-law's house and was delighted to see both my neice and nephew. I so wish they lived near by.

Today, I drove to my grandfather's house which is just an hour and a half away. I have gotten to spend lots of time with my Uncle and with my Grandfather's companion and with two cousin's that I haven't seen in a very long time. I'm really enjoying the time spent together them. I just wish it was under different circumstances.

They put my grandfather into hospice on Friday. So he was already in there when I arrived. More relatives are expected tomorrow. My stepfather is saying that he won't make it up until the end of the week and I'm thinking that will be too late. Grandpa's very weak, put the nurses say that he's not in a lot of pain. He's not very responsive, but I did get my minute alone with him.
I haven't had a chance to read anybody's blogs or respond to comments, and probably won't until I get home. I hope that everybody is enjoying the new Harry Potter book.
UPDATE: My apologies to all who indured the massive number of typos's and mistakes. I have more energy tonight, the next night, and I just couldn't leave the post that way.

Hi Lora, I haven't been out blog-visiting in a while and was saddened to read about your grandfather. My grandmother was under Hospice care before she died and they were so wonderful for her, not to mention comforting to the rest of us. My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family.

I'm glad you were able to see your grandfather, even if briefly. And to catch up with other family members. It's so easy to let family relationships drift, I find, and then wish we'd spent more time with them when it's too late.

I understand...all these strange computers are like speaking a new language. Is everyone on the road? Seems so lately. Justing popping in to see what's new.
