House Hunting

Most of yesterday’s and today’s energy has been related to house hunting. Yesterday we viewed four houses. One of them really wasn’t what we were looking for, although my hubby begged to differ. Two of them were nice little homes with promise.

The fourth place was spectacular. We both loved it and were amazed at our good luck. We decided to put an offer if for it right away. However, we were heartbroken to find out that somebody else had just put an offer in, cash, and the owners we planning on accepting it.

We were very bummed, but we dusted ourselves off and went back out there again today. We viewed two new homes and then reviewed one from yesterday, because we felt that we had been so enamored by the fantastic place from the day before that we didn’t look it over quite as seriously as we should have. Hubby really wasn’t thrilled with one of the new places and the other one had, er, problems, but upon our second viewing we really were much more impressed by the home from yesterday.

There really aren’t many homes that fit our criteria,in our price range, in the area we want to live. At this point, we really had looked at everything that was available and we are much to impatient to just wait and see what else shows up on the market. So, we decided to put an offer in on this nice little place. We offered a little bit less than they were asking, but we think that it is enough that they will take it. Wish us luck!

Unless you're pretty darn wealthy, it's all about compromise, isn't it. Good luck.

Oh, that is so awesome! E-mail me a link to the house, if you don't mind! I'd love to see! Wahoo!

Good luck to you both but remember--you have plenty of time before the baby arrives so you don't have to be in a huge hurry on the house.
