Sleep

It seems that I have recently reached the point in my pregnancy that I can never get enough sleep. I’ve been a bit of an insomniac my whole life, so I find this to be a very odd situation.

My husband finds it completely amusing. He has always been confused by my lack of sleep; as he regular logs in ten hours a night. Now, I’m going to bed before him, because I can’t keep my eyes open and getting up after he has left for work in the morning. All the while sleeping soundly.

My little pregnancy books assure me that this stage should only last about a month, as my body adjusts to a sudden increase in blood volume. I hope they are right. The time involved with all this sleep is robbing me of precious time to get things done, including play. However, I’d love it if I could continue to sleep this soundly from now on. With a baby on the way, I won’t count on it.

I type this between huge yawns, so good night to all, and sweet dreams.

From one insomniac to another: that sounds awesome! It sounds like pregnancy has its upside.

Of course I'm sure you've heard it a million times by now but...get all the rest you can - you'll need your energy later lol :))

I HATED that part of pregancy. I could literally fall asleep sitting up at work. That bone-tired feeling does go, eventually, and the only cure for it is...to sleep! Good luck!
