Conversation with my Husband

Had this morning at 6:15 in reference to the conversation we had this morning at 1:30.

Me, rather loudly, “IF YOU HAVE A SLEEPING CHILD AND A SLEEPING WIFE DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT WAKE UP THE SLEEPING WIFE TO ASK HER HOW THE SLEEPING CHILD IS DOING. BECAUSE THAT’S THE LAST TIME I WAS ASLEEP.UNLESS THERE IS A FIRE, DO NOT WAKE UP THE WIFE.”

Goodnight.

Wow - you had the baby! He's adorable! I've been so busy that your (almost) nine months flew by, and I just thought to check your journal today.

Congratulations! It's going to be a wonderful journey for you and Lyn. You'll find yourselves growing and stretching in ways you never could have imagined. As an NF myself, I have to warn you, try to keep your expectations at a low to medium level. I had all kinds of ideas of motherhood that were totally fairy-tale, which left me frustrated. By Baby #2, I was firmly living in reality... Enjoy the good moments, and don't be hard on yourself. Don't take on any more responsibilities, especially the first year (or three, depending on Liam's personality). This truly is the toughest job you'll ever love, raising an eternal little being.
