Happy blogiversary to me!

Today is my three-month blogiversary! I'm celebrating by having a day of blogging about blogging. I'm not quite sure where this will lead, but so far I'm having a grand time.
  1. I've put my Archives list into drop down menu, from instructions found in Blogger Hacks.
  2. I've changed my blogger profile picture to my kindergarten photo.
  3. I've added the option to expand and contract longer posts when prudent. This information was also found in Blogger Hacks.
  4. I've added an icon for my usual photo host, Hello, to my sidebar.
  5. I've changed my StatCounter and Bloglines icons to give them better credit. I think they both are excellent products and they're free!
  6. Then I went and finally updated blog links in my sidebar. I still have some more to add, but these are my blogbuddies. If I made any spelling or format errors, please let me know!

I'm going to tuck in for the night and continue with this fun tomorrow. As always all comments and suggestions are welcome, as are questions and advice. Especially, if in my ignorance I messed up the way things are viewed in your browser.
Updated and links added above: 1:25 PM
I didn't get as much done this morning as I had hoped. Life! It just keeps getting in the way of my blogging. How rude.
  1. I altered my color palette in an effort to make things more readable and found this great HTML color guide.
  2. I added a vertical line along my sidebar, with the very helpful aide of Dave Raggett.
  3. With much trial and error, I skinnied down my sidebar and reduced the width of my margins.
I normally use Firefox as my browser, but I've been checking into IE just to make sure things weren't messed up. I think my blog looks better through IE. It's funny the difference small alterations make. I'm tempted to go to my MIL and see how things look through her Mac. Obsessed? Who me?
LAST UPDATE:
I really haven't done that much more, just lots of experimenting.
  1. I got rid of my subtitle. Entertained the though of changing my blogname, but didn't.
  2. With the aide of Code Style I choose to add some Papyrus into my blog. I really like the look of it so I hope that it is visible to all.
  3. I discovered how to give your links titles when you hover over them and so I did that for all my blogbuddies listed in my sidebar.
That is it. I'm not doing anymore. There are so many more things I want to do, but no fussing with my template for at least a couple weeks. I love this part of blogging; however, I can waste far too much time on it.

Thanks to everybody for your cheers.

Happy bloggiversary! Do you know, for some reason I thought you'd been blogging way longer than I had. You seem to have absorbed the jargon better, anyway... I still don't know what a blogroll or a meme is! LOL! I guess I didn't even look at your early archives (or at least, not the dates on them). I actually started about a week before you did, to my surprise.

Yes, but you write much better then I do and with greater substance.

Hi Lora, It looks like we started blogging around the same time. I'm planning to do something for my 100th post...a little review. I wish I could do more on my site, but when it comes to computers, I have no tech-no-logic...but that's okay, I took the IQ test once and did pretty well. It really helped my self-esteem! We do like tests and systems, don't we?

G'day Lora
I came across your blog via Catez's allthings2all. What a lovely find. An eclectic collection of thoughts, images and musings. Sounds like my blog - no wonder I like it so much :-)
You sure have picked up the lingo and the tech skills fast! I look forward to following your journey.

Happy Blogiversary, Lora! Funny, I thought you had been blogging longer than 3 months, too!

Thanks for sharing all those tips. When I have more time and feel motivated, I should update my blog, too.

And love the dress you are wearing! It's so Calico-Kitten- 70's-little-girl- cutey-pie!

That's a sweet pic! :) It looks good over here--I know what you mean though; I can spend HOURS playing around with my template. Aarrrggghhh~
How do you do the hover thing? I like that and I'd totally like to steal it from you. :)

The hover thing:

Of course, you need to opening and closing tags.

Way to go, Lora! Happy happy to you! The blog looks great. I'll have to check out Blogger Hacks to fix-up some of my template, as mine is getting stale.

Congrats!
