Psychometrist

Slowly life is returning to a normal pace. I still have a little more clean up to do at our apartment. I plan to finish that off on Wednesday. Tomorrow, I have the job interview for the opportunity that I wrote about a few weeks ago. I’m nervous. I really want this job. I also know of at least two other people that are applying and they are serious competition.

It’s actually the perfect job for me. It’s administering psychological tests, mainly tests of cognitive function. I love stuff like that. Plus it would work around pregnancy and parenting an infant quite well. It’s also a big step in the direction that I want to go into being that it’s more professional and would be a great learning experience.

Somehow between now and tomorrow afternoon, I need to figure out a way to convince my future boss that I’m the person for the job. That’s the tricky part. Now I’m just trying to wind down enough so I can place my best foot forward.

Hey Lora,

I am so sorry that I haven't responded sooner. I feel like all I do lately is work & sleep - I guess that's the night shift, for ya'...

Anyway, it looks like we are not going to move to Austin afterall... :o( I was really excited about it, too...

My husband has decided instead to attend a school in Pittsburgh - so I guess it's Pittsburgh where we will be headed this next summer...

(I don't suppose you know anyone or anything about Pittsburgh?)

Well, I guess if we're ever in Austin, I'll let you know... :o)

Otherwise, I look forward to reading more of your blog... Take care & I'll talk to you again soon!

-Beth

Pittsburg? I hope yins are happy there! It's an interesting old world type town that's full of interesting hills made scary in winter ice and lots of European food. Blue collar for sure.
