I called an old friend today to let him know that Liam had been born and the first words out of his mouth were something about throwing a party.
Baby = Party ???
I guess it's not a connection I would have made.
Later in the conversation, he asked how I'm doing and I told him that I'm doing great, but that it's taking a while to adjust to being somebody's foodsource.
He then asked, "So, do you feed the baby like two to three times a day, or what?"
I had to laugh, "Try about ten to tweleve."

I guess this is someone who doesn't have any children, and probably hasn't been around babies much?! My memory of those newborn baby days is that there's maybe two or three times in a day when you're NOT feeding!
Excatly!
I saw a programme yesterday where this guy was going to look after a two year old for a fortnight. He asked "So, does he eat, like, food?" "So, he's like a.. person?"
Ha! Men....so clueless.....
:)
Gotta love them....
Babies have these wee little stomachs. They have to "eat" constantly 'cause they have no holding capacity. As anyone who's changed diapers of a newborn knows--that stuff just flows right through them.
Utenzi- Right you are. His stomach capacity is about the size of a walnut and won't even hold 2 oz.
